Nine members braved the Arctic conditions to compete at the rescheduled Sidmouth Aquathlon, delayed two weeks by snow and then nearly cancelled again by a second episode of the white stuff. The race consisted of a 600m swim followed by a 5km run in temperatures below -1C, with many of our Athletes competing for the first time. The later racers also had to contend with heavy snow falling. The club managed to return to Exeter just in time to avoid getting snowed out!
The club would like to thank Exeter Triathlon Club for organising the event, and the marshals for braving the cold and snow, including Alumni, Ollie Thorogood, normally see winning this event. Once again a massive well done to everyone who raced and a very promising start to EUTriC’s race season.
